COMPANY HISTORY:

Avem commenced trading 27 years ago selling coin operated juice and cordial vending machines and automatic
coffee equipment. These machines were quickly placed in supermarkets, C-Stores and sports centres across Australia.
To support this equipment it was necessary to establish an effective service network built around contractors with electrical
and refrigeration skills. This network was the foundation upon which our existing service facilities are based.

In 1987 we were approached by a variety of fast food suppliers with a proposal to rent them refrigeration equipment to
facilitate the sale of their product in a diverse range of retail outlets. We started renting glass fronted refrigerators to MicroEasy
and Tasty Hero/Aussie Snacks and within a few months had in excess of 700 units in the field - principally in service stations and
C-stores. In the following years we developed our highly successful rental business establishing relationships with many blue chip
Australian corporates. We count Mobil, Mobil Quix, Caltex, Coles Express, Nestle, and National Foods, amongst our rental and
service customers. Our existing rental and service fleet exceeds $ 12 million in replacement value.

Our success in the equipment market – particularly in the Retail and Petrol and Convenience categories - has been built around our
extensive service network, our ability to quickly deliver spare parts to remote locations, the reliability and quality of our equipment
and our ability to work closely and effectively with major account customers.

Avem is the national distributor for a number of overseas manufacturers of high quality ovens, rotisseries, displays, retarder provers,
refrigeration and dispensing equipment. We are constantly searching for new and improved products for cooking, baking and display
equipment and as part of this search we regularly attend trade shows in Europe, Asia and the U.S.A.. The manufacturers we represent
have shown themselves in the past to be responsive to any special requirements we have passed on to them from our customers.
This has enabled us to ensure the products we offer meet as closely as possible the requirements of the Australian market.
